  • Website with 100+ pages of links selected and annotated by career librarians
  • Reference books, periodicals, and a growing circulating collection of career planning titles
  • Handouts such as graduate school test bulletins, study abroad brochures, and recruiting information
  • Electronic databases for researching career or graduate school information

    Topics: Career information by major or field; job hunting; resume, cover letter, and interview tips and examples, networking and informational interviewing; women and careers; career planning for diverse populations; internships; graduate school and test prep; study and work abroad; career change or reentry; relocation; salary information; and more.

Services:

  • Individualized reference service for career exploration, industry/company research, graduate school planning, and job hunting
    Available via walk-in or by appointment
  • Reseach assistance for faculty and staff on industry trends
  • Workshops and individual instruction on locating and using career-related information resources online and in print
    Please contact the Librarian to arrange a workshop for your class or organization.

    Note: For career counseling, including assistance with self-assessments, resume and cover letter review, and interviewing practice, please make an appointment at the Career Education Center.

Facility:

  • Reference/circulation desk for personalized assistance with career information needs
  • Seven computer stations (6 PCs, 1 Mac) with internet access for career research and productivity software for working on resumes, cover letters, etc.
  • Wireless Internet access
  • Printer, copier, and typewriter
  • Airy, sunlit reading room with seating for 25 students
