Research Clinics: research and writing assistance for papers
Are you writing a research paper? Drop by one of our on-going clinics in the Library Classroom (LIB-225) for individual assistance with any stage of the research or writing process.
Clinics will have a Writing Center tutor and a Reference Librarian available to help you with:
- finding books, articles, and high-quality websites on your topic
- searching electronic databases
- evaluating the quality of your information sources
- organizing your paragraphs
- conveying your ideas clearly
- using APA, MLA, or other documentation styles
- avoiding plagiarism
No appointment necessary! Drop by with a few quick questions, or stay longer for more extensive help. Or just come in to use a computer and work on your paper, knowing that assistance is conveniently nearby!
Research Clinics are over for this semester.
RefWorks: An easier way to organize your research
The Library is offering assistance on both Beginner and Advanced RefWorks to help members of the Simmons community in gathering, managing, storing, and sharing information. RefWorks is the perfect tool for generating bibliographies and citations, no matter what stage of research you are in.
Please contact Stacy Schwartz at stacy.schwartz@simmons.edu if you would like to schedule an appointment for individual RefWorks assistance.
