North End/West End:

Boston's Little Italy

During the early 1900s the Boston saw a large influx of Italian immigrants and they settled in the area known as the North End. This area today still has an Italian flair with its many bakeries and restaurants

Paul Revere House

The home was built about 1680, and Paul Revere lived with his family there from 1770 to 1800. Paul Revere has been made famous by the Longfellow poem, Paul Revere's Ride, about warning the Massachusetts Bay Colonists that the British were coming.

Directions: The Paul Revere House is located between the Faneuil Hall and Old North Church stops on the Freedom Trail. Green Line to Government center and follow the Freedom Trail.

November 1 - April 14 - 9:30 am to 4:15 pm

Museum of Science

Boston's Freedom Trail

Copley Square

Copley Square holds many well-known landmarks including Trinity Church, the Prudential Center, Newbury Street's cafes and shops, and the Boston Public Library.

Boston Public Library

Founded in 1848, by an act of the Great and General Court of Massachusetts, the Boston Public Library (BPL) was the first large free municipal library in the United States. The Library's collections approximated 16,000 volumes, and it was obvious from the day the doors were first opened that the quarters were inadequate.

Skywalk Observatory @ the Prudential Building

Newbury Street

Newbury Street is the Fifth Ave of Boston, filled with many shops that cater to both the Boston and elite and the poor college student.

Directions: Green Line to Hynes Convention Center. Right onto Massachusetts Ave, right onto Newbury Street




Financial District:

New England Aquarium

The New England Aquarium is an amazing facility that houses all types of sea creatures including jelly fish, sharks, penguins, and sea turtles.

Directions: Green Line to Government Center stop and switch to the Blue Line to Aquarium Stop.
Cost: Discounted tickets are sold for $8.50 at the Office of Student Leadership and Activities.

Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market

This is the historic center of Boston. In addition to revolutionary war history, there are also great shops and a large food court.

Theatre District:

SOWA Art Galleries

The South End is chalk full galleries, restaurants and specialty shops. Even through the SOWA Art Walk is only officially held once a year, you are able to visit the galleries, restaurants, and shops year round.

Directions: Green line to Arlington, exit to Berkley Street and walk down Berkley until you hit Tremont. Cross Tremont and Berkley becomes East Berkley. Continue down Berkley until you hit Harrison Ave and take a right, 450 Harrison will be a 2 min walk down on your left.

Kenmore/Fenway:

Mary Baker Eddy Library

The Mary Baker Eddy Library provides public access and context to original materials and educational
experiences about Mary Baker Eddy's life, ideas, and achievements, including her Church.

Directions: Green line to Symphony Stop, walk 3
minutes up Mass. Ave, and it is on your right.

Boston Symphony Orchestra

The Boston Symphony Orchestra has been exciting concert goers since 1881.

New England Concervatory

Institute of Contemporary Art

The Institute of Contemporary Art is not you traditional Art Museum. It provides a unique display of contemporary art and is making a mark with the young people in Boston.


Directions: Green Line to Park Street, Red Line to South Station, Silver Line to Court House and then Follow the signs to the ICA.

Coolidge Corner:

Coolidge Corner Theatre

The Coolidge Corner Theatre and a not-for-profit independent theatre that shows many lesser know/independent films along with film classics.

Brookline Booksmith
