EMPLOYER CAMPUS VISIT Careers in Arts & Culture: The Boston Museum Group
Tuesday, October 27; 3:00 - 5:00 pm; Kotzen Conference Room (L001 & L002), Lefavour Building
Liberal arts majors! Management majors! And interested others. The Boston Museum Group, a consortium of top museums in Boston, is coming to Simmons to talk to you about careers in their field. The group includes the Museum of Fine Arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Institute of Contemporary Art, the New England Aquarium, the Museum of Science, and the Children’s Museum. The consortium is especially interested in promoting upcoming Spring and Summer internships in a variety of areas, including administration, development, curatorial, and others, at their respective museums. Come listen to the moderated career panel from 3-4 pm, then meet and talk with representatives from the museums and learn more at their exhibitor tables from 4-5 pm. The event is open to all Colleges of the Fenway students.

Interested students from all majors should stop by to learn about the Bard Graduate Center, a research institute located in Manhattan committed to studying the cultural history of the material world. Students enrolled in the M.A. and Ph.D. programs work on research projects and exhibitions that explore the interrelationships between works of art and craft, design, places, ideas, and social and cultural practice in courses ranging from the ancient world to the twenty-first century. Join us for two insightful lectures with the Vice President & Treasurer of Xerox and Simmons alumna, Rhonda L. Seegal, Class of '72. In the first lecture, Ms. Seegal will chronicle her career journey from majoring in Communications and Spanish to landing corporate finance roles in Fortune 500 corporations. In the second lecture, she will discuss the challenges of navigating a company through turbulent financial markets and a credit crunch.
