Welcome!

Thanksgiving Break

All students may stay on campus during this break.  However, for safety and security purposes you are required to register with the Office of Residence Life by filling out a Thanksgiving Break Housing form.  

Winter Break

 All undergraduate students are required to be off-campus when the College is closed between Saturday, December 19, 2009 and Monday, January 4, 2010.  Graduate students and Dix scholars are welcome to stay on campus for no additional cost.  Any student who is requesting Winter break housing must fill out an electronic Winter Break Housing form.

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Monday, November 23, 2009—Last day to submit special housing accommodation paperwork to Disability Services for the Spring 2010 Semester
  • Monday, November 23, 2009—Last day to sign up for Thanksgiving break housing
  • Wednesday, November 25, 2009—Residence Halls close at 12:00pm for Thanksgiving break
  • Tuesday, December 1, 2009—Deadline to submit spring housing withdrawal requests
  • Friday, December 11, 2009—Deadline to sign up for Winter Break housing
  • Saturday, December 19, 2009—College closes at 12:00pm for Winter Break
  • Saturday, December 19, 2009 to Monday, January 4, 2010—College closed for Winter Break
  • Monday, January 4, 2010—College reopens for students with permission to stay on campus for the break
  • Sunday, January 17, 2010—College opens for all returning students at 8:00am
  • Monday, January 18, 2010—College opens for all new students from 10:00am to 4:30pm

Spring 2009 Withdrawal

Graduating in December, transferring, or studying abroad?  Fill out a withdrawal form.   The deadline to have withdrawn from Spring housing and still receive your housing deposit is Decemeber 1, 2009.  Please see the College License Agreement for all withdrawal policy details.  If you are requesting withdrawal for any other reason besides transferring /studying abroad/withdrawing from Simmons College/Graduating, your request will be reviewed after the withdrawal deadline.
