What to Bring
Items listed below are for roommates to discuss. You may decide you don't need two:

Standing lamps
Remember: No halogens, due to fire safety - Rugs
Things for your room:
- Pillows
- Bed linens and comforter for standard-size twin bed
- Phone
- Power cords and surge protectors
- Light bulbs
- Storage boxes/crates
- Bulletin/dry erase board
- Flashlight
- Clothing hangers
- Dishes (plate, bowl, cup, fork, knife, spoon, can opener, sauce pan)
- First aid kit (Band-aids, antibiotic cream, cold medication, aspirin)
- Alarm clock
- Posters
- Picture frames
- Three prong outlet adapters
- Lamps (Simmons, Mesick, and Morse don't have overhead lighting!)
Things for your desk:

Desk lamp
- Stapler
- 3- hole punch
- Stationery and stamps
- Calculator
- Pens, pencils, pencil sharpener
- Calendar and planner
- Ruler
- Scotch tape
Things for the bathroom and the laundry room:
- Toothbrush/toothpaste
- Laundry basket/bag
- Laundry detergent and other laundry aids
- Drying rack
- Hand soap
- Flip-flops for the shower
- Towels, both hand towel and full-sized
- Shower basket (to carry shampoo/conditioner, soap, etc., back and forth)
Other important things:
- Key chain
- Social security card
- Health insurance card
- Address book
- Money (large amounts should be kept safely in the bank)
- Quarters for laundry and/or vending machine
- Prescription medication
What to Leave at Home:
- All upholstered furniture that does not have fire-retardant labels
- Tapestries and cloth wall hangings
- Any cooking appliances other than the college-supplied Microfridge (however, you can bring coffee makers with automatic shutoffs)
- Halogen lamps
- Candles, incense, or any other type of flame or burning unit (These items are all considered fire hazards)
- Car (There is no student parking available for residents and it is extremely difficult to find street parking and is very expensive to finance parking options)
- Hammer, nails and power drills (They damage the walls and any damages will be deducted from your housing deposit)
- All pets (With the exception of those pets that live in a 5-gallon fish tank or smaller)
