Classrooms & Technology Labs
Simmons has created an environment where almost every teaching and event space has built-in technology. Use this page to check brief overviews of what is built-in where.
Right to the room details: Technology built into Simmons spaces
Hosting an event: Media Event Services
Assistance or equipment: Request Forms
After you schedule your classroom through the Registrar's Office (617-521-2111) or event space through Conferences and Special Events, check these summaries to see what technology has been permanently installed. From there you can work with Media Services to schedule any additional technology not already installed. If you are scheduled to use a meeting room or event space, please see our Events page. If you do not see your room listed below, or on the Technology in Events Spaces page, please contact Media Services (617-521-2765) so we can help you determine what can be delivered to your space.
Please complete a request form to inform Media Services of your intended technology use, even if you intend to only use technology that is permanently installed. That way, if we know you are using the room and the built-in technology isn't working, we can deliver an alternative for you.
Technology works closely with instructors to ensure that all software needed for classes or workshops is on the computers. Please complete a Software Installation Request Form to have software installed on the instructor's station or student computers (in labs).
