Graduation Updates


*Ingrid Clay has been selected to represent the evening program at graduation

 

*Additional Health Insurance is available for an extended period of time for graduating students on the Simmons insurance. Application forms are available in the MBA office. According to the insurance company, students should contact them directly to ask for an extension, get the form, and then return it with payment of the premium. Students should call University Health Plans before the termination of this year's plan at 617-472-5324 or 800-437-6448.

 

*The price of extra tickets for the Dean’s Reception is $70, not $75 as mentioned in the graduation meetings.

If you plan to buy an extra ticket to the Dean's Reception please let Paula know as soon as possible. If you did not check off on your data sheet that you are bringing a guest we will assume you are coming alone.

 

*Dean’s Reception invitations are available for pick up in the MBA Office.

Short Term Project Work in the Registrar’s Office

Donna Dolan, the college Registrar, is looking for an MBA student to do some project work during the summer. Work expectations are 15-20 hours a week, project duration to be not longer than the summer. Skills needed: ability to work independently, excel, data analysis and strong writing. Call Donna if you are interested at 521.2101 and tell her you are responding to the posting in the MBA update this week.

 


Paula’s New Name

Paula Donaldson’s new married last name going forward is Paula Bent. Currently my email address is still paula.donaldson@simmons.edu. You will see my display name as Paula Bent but my email remains the same until it gets changed with technology.



Important announcement for students who are registered for GSM 512

Sylvia had attended an institute on hybrid teaching and learning and it has been recommended that she change her schedule. Because of that, there have been some changes made to the CSR schedule for the Fall semester.  Please make note of the following changes on your calendar. A revised synopsis has been posted to the web.


Thursdays: 9/13, 10/4, 10/18, 11/15, 4-5:45pm (Added class on 10/4, Removed classes on 9/20 & 10/11)
Saturdays: 9/22, 9/29: 9-12:30 (Note time change from 1:30 to 12:30pm)

You are invited to the SOM Alumnae Association's annual New Alumnae Reception. This event, sponsored by the Simmons SOMAA, marks a wonderful tradition of welcoming the new class of MBA graduates to the distinguished ranks of Simmons SOM alumnae.

 

Join Alumnae Association board members, and student representatives Geetha Krishnamurthy '07 and Mandy Osborne '07, along with faculty and staff, as we toast the class of 2007. This will be a great way to learn about how you can stay involved and connected to the school, each other, and the incredible network of SOM alumnae in Boston and around the globe. Refreshments will be served.
